Self Drive Horsebox Hire in Essex
NAGS on the move Horsebox has been professionally designed and made to a very high standard. It has a lightweight manageable gas assisted ramp with rubber flooring throughout and padded roofs and partitions. A separate storage area with saddle and bridle racks leaving plenty of space for all your equipment. All of these features make our horsebox easy to manage but tough and practical. Drainage in the horse area comes as standard for easy cleaning and maintenance.
It is expected that the Horsebox will be returned as clean as it was given to you i.e all rubbish & can's removed, although the horse area should be clean when returned, you will not be expected to hose it down as we will have to jet wash the area & sanitise it again ready for the next Hirer.
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking, it is your responsibility to have your horse insured yourselves. Our insurance does not cover any animals in the Horsebox.
The Horsebox will be supplied full tank of diesel and it is the 'hirers' responsibility to return the Horsebox full of diesel.
We request that you never allow the fuel tank to be less than a quarter full as this can lead to mechanical faults.
Horsebox Hire Features
The vehicle used is a professionally converted Renault Master horsebox supplied by Kingsacre Horseboxes.
Our Renault Master 3.5 tonne features the following:
- 2.2Ltr Diesel Engine 5 Speed Gear Box 3500kg laden weight 2100kg unladen weight.
- It can be driven on a standard licence
- Takes 2 x 16.2 hh
- Day living with comfy seats & Flat screen TV
- converted 240v Plug sockets for your use charging mobile etc..
- Tea & Coffee Supplied in the living area
- Low ramp - ideal for the 'not so easy' loading Horses
- Rear facing - Has been proven that horses travel better this way
- Movable partition - for the larger horses
- Reduced rates for longer periods of hire
- Max of 300 Miles per day, thereafter please add £0.50 Per Mile
- CCTV installed to keep an eye on your horse
- Includes insurance and breakdown hire
- Available 24/7 in the case of emergencies
- Full safety check before every hire
- All boxes are fully valeted and disinfected before every hire
- You will be shown 'how everything works' on collection

Our weekend rate is charged at £100 Per Day
or £190 for the Whole weekend.
Weekday rate is charged at £70

When hiring the horsebox a Full day is from 7AM to 7PM unless other arrangements are agreed by us.
The driver must be between the ages of 25 and 70 and hold a driving licence for at least 3 years.
Our Horsebox will need to be collected from Harwich Road, Little Clacton, Essex CO16 9NE.
Although we can organise for our Horsebox to be Delivered to you within a 20 mile 'Road' Radius, this will be charged at £1.35 Per mile.
We have On site parking available on our premisis for your vehicle whilst you hire our horsebox, although we accept no Liability if your vehicle is stolen, broken into or damaged whilst on our property.
